snow

I started reading Orhan Pamuk's "Snow," and lo and behold - it started snowing. Coincidence, or is 2009 to be my year to control the weather? I'm leaning toward coincidence, personally, but will put off reading "The Perfect Storm" until 2010, just to be safe.

SNOW is a superb read, perfect way to escape this exceptionally cold winter (ironically). While there are so many incredible ideas woven into the story, i particularly enjoyed the interplay between his lust/love and his lostness (?)(help me out here, you're the master wordsmith), and the way he portrays islam as filling gaps at the same time that it creates them in the lives of some of the other characters. Enjoy!

your take is good, though. i think i'll try viewing it this way and see if it helps...
